Civil Engineering program of UAP received ACI Award for University Student Activities

 

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has selected the civil engineering program of University of Asia Pacific as an 'Outstanding University'program for 2016. This honor was based on student and faculty participation in ACI-related activities and national conferences; participation in concrete-related industry events; and community outreach activities related to the concrete industry. There are 93 ACI student chapters and nearly 20,000 members throughout over 120 countries. Only 24 universities have been chosen to receive this award for 2016. UAP is the first university from Bangladesh that has received such recognition from this prestigious organization. The award was announced during ACI's spring 2017 concrete convention and exposition in Detroit, MI also featured in Concrete International magazine. Mr. Ariful Hasnat, Assistant Professor of CE represented UAP in that event.
